GDP Portals Will Revamp Your Ride
GDP didn’t make the first side-by-side portal kit on the market—just the first kit that anybody gave a damn about. If you’re looking for a way to completely redefine your Can-Am Defender, look no further than SuperATV’s GDP 4” Portal Gear Lift. Choose between a 15% or 30% gear reduction, and add a dual idler gear for strength that you can’t find anywhere else. Get ready to discover why GDP is the most respected name in the portal game.
What is a Dual Idler®?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.
Perfect for All Riding Styles
It doesn’t matter where, when, or how you ride—there’s a GDP Portal Gear Lift for you. From the trails to mud bogs to wide-open dunes, our portals make every ride better. Get a 15% gear reduction to enjoy speedy rides and a torque boost. Or go for a 30% gear reduction to really gear down and turn those monster tires. You can even add a dual idler gear for ultimate strength. Our Can-Am Defender dual idler portals are perfect for riders who don’t slow down for anything.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Portals put the gear reduction right in the hub, after your transmission, prop shaft, differential, and axles. That means it reduces stress on your entire drivetrain. You get more power and your most vital components will last longer, too. That’s a win-win.
Nothing Is Stronger Than GDP
We know how you ride—pedal to the metal, full send, the whole nine yards. That’s why we made sure GDP portals are the strongest on the planet. They’re available with cast or billet aluminum housings that are thicker and stronger than any other portal housings on the market. And they have 5/16” thick backing plates made from an advanced steel alloy. All of that comes together to bring you the best damn portal gear lift imaginable.
Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings
Our portals use:
Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
Complete the Package with a Frame Stiffener
Portals and monster tires are fun, but they can place additional stress on your machine’s frame. To make your suspension bulletproof, we recommend adding a SuperATV Frame Stiffener when you install your new Can-Am portals!
